Cognitive Juris is an internal workflow and content platform used by professional-services firms (law, tax and accounting practices).
Connected accounts
With your permission the Platform connects to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, YouTube, Gmail or Microsoft 365 to identify the account, publish content you approve, and (for mail) read client inquiries and send replies you approve.
What we never do
We never publish or send anything without a person pressing Publish or Send, never read your social connections or feeds, and never sell or share your data for advertising.
Your control
Disconnect any account in the app, or revoke access from the platform's own settings, at any time. Tokens are deleted immediately on disconnect. See our data deletion page.
1Who we are and what this policy covers
Cognitive Juris (the "Platform") is operated by Ignite9 LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information the Platform collects when a firm's staff use it, how that information is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Platform's web application and to the connections it makes to third-party services on your behalf: LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), TikTok, Google (Gmail, YouTube) and Microsoft 365.
The Platform is deployed for individual firms (each a "Tenant"). Each Tenant's data is held separately and is never visible to another Tenant.
2How the connected-account integrations work
When you connect an account, the platform asks you to grant specific permissions. We request only what is needed to identify the connected account, publish content you have reviewed, and (for mailboxes) read client inquiries and send replies you have approved.
Platform
Permissions and why we ask for them
LinkedIn
openid, profile: identify the member. w_member_social, w_organization_social: publish a post you approve to your profile or a Page you administer. r_organization_social: list the Pages you administer.
Facebook
pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement: list the Pages you manage and confirm which is connected. pages_manage_posts: publish a post you approve to that Page.
Instagram
instagram_basic: identify the Professional account linked to your Page. instagram_content_publish: publish a Reel or image you approve.
WhatsApp
whatsapp_business_management, whatsapp_business_messaging: send a broadcast you approve from your WhatsApp Business number. business_management: read the business assets needed for the above.
TikTok
user.info.basic: identify the account. video.upload, video.publish: upload a clip you approve.
YouTube
youtube.upload, youtube.readonly: upload a clip you approve and confirm the channel.
Gmail
gmail.readonly: read unread client inquiries so a reply can be drafted. gmail.compose, gmail.send: save a draft or send a reply you approve.
Microsoft 365
Mail.Read, Mail.ReadWrite, Mail.Send, User.Read, offline_access: the same mailbox functions for Outlook.
Nothing is published or sent automatically. Every post, clip and email is drafted in the app, shown to a member of the firm's staff, and sent only when that person explicitly publishes or sends it. We do not read your social connections, feeds, direct messages or analytics, and mailbox access is used only for the inquiry-reply feature.
3Information we collect
Account identifiers from connected platforms. Your display name, account or page identifiers and, if you grant it, your email address.
Authorization tokens. The OAuth access and refresh tokens each platform issues so the Platform can act on your behalf. These are stored encrypted (see section 6).
Client email content. If you connect a mailbox, the subject, sender and body of unread inquiries you choose to view, used only to draft a reply. We do not store mailbox content beyond the session.
Likeness for video. If you use the Clone Studio, a photo and a voice sample you provide, with your recorded consent, used to generate videos for your firm. Deletable at any time from the same page.
Content you create. Drafts, scripts, posts and clips written in the Platform, including any that are published.
Firm documents. Files a Tenant uploads for its own analysis (for example contracts or tax schedules). These belong to the Tenant and are processed only for that Tenant.
Usage and diagnostic logs. Timestamps, actions taken and error reports, used to keep the Platform working and secure. Logs never contain authorization tokens.
4How we use information
To operate the Platform and the features you use, including publishing posts you approve.
To show which external accounts are connected and when their access expires.
To generate draft content, research and summaries at the request of the Tenant's staff.
To secure the Platform, prevent misuse and diagnose faults.
To meet legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
5Service providers
The Platform relies on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf. Each receives only what is needed for its function.
Connected platforms (LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, Google, Microsoft) receive the content you choose to publish or send and the requests needed to do so.
AI model providers receive the text of drafts and the firm documents selected for analysis in order to generate output. They are not permitted to use this data to train models.
Database and hosting providers store the Tenant's knowledge base and application data.
Voice and video providers receive scripts a user chooses to turn into audio or video.
Data received from Meta platforms is used only to provide the publishing features described above, is never sold, and is deleted on disconnect or on request as described on our data deletion page.
6Storage and security
Authorization tokens are encrypted at rest with authenticated symmetric encryption. The encryption key is held separately from the token store.
All data is partitioned by Tenant. Every read and write is scoped to the requesting Tenant.
Connections to LinkedIn and other providers use TLS.
Access to the Platform is limited to authorised staff of the Tenant.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected Tenants without undue delay.
7Retention and deletion
Tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect an account in the app, and become unusable if you revoke access from the platform itself.
Account identifiers are deleted with the token.
Content and documents are retained for as long as the Tenant keeps its account, or until the Tenant deletes them.
Logs are kept for up to 90 days.
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time using the contact details in section 11.
8Sharing
We share personal information only with the service providers listed in section 5, with the Tenant whose staff you are, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users, and in connection with a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy continues to apply).
9Your rights and choices
Disconnect. Remove any connection from the Integrations page of the Platform.
Revoke. Remove the Platform from the platform's own settings: LinkedIn Data privacy → Permitted services; Facebook and Instagram Apps and websites; Google myaccount.google.com/permissions; TikTok Security → Apps and services; Microsoft myapps.microsoft.com.
Access, correction and deletion. Contact us to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you.
Regional rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We honour those rights.
10Children
The Platform is a business tool intended for firm staff. It is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
We may update this policy as the Platform changes. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
